Olson Engineering provides Civil Engineering and Project Entitlement Services to clients in North Idaho and Eastern Washington. The company was founded in 2017 by Eric Olson, PE. Olson Engineering employs two licensed civil engineers, two staff engineers, a senior CAD designer, and a land use specialist. We operate out of our office in Post Falls, Idaho.

Eric Olson, PE is the Managing Member of Olson Engineering, PLLC, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Idaho and Washington. He relocated to Idaho in 2005 after graduating from the University of Texas and working 3 years in the Houston area. Eric has 21 years of experience in roadway and drainage design, water, wastewater, and land development engineering. He has served as project manager and lead designer for public infrastructure projects as well as residential, institutional, commercial, and resort development projects throughout North Idaho. He is an active member and past-President or the Northern Chapter of the Idaho Society of Professional Engineers. In his spare time, Eric enjoys golf, boating, hiking, snow skiing, and spending time with his family and two dogs.

Steve Soltys is originally from Springfield, Massachusetts. He moved here with his family to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in 1980 and has been in the area since. Steve graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School and the University of Idaho. Steve has over 30 years of Civil Engineering experience in North Idaho and Eastern Washington. He is a licensed professional engineer in Idaho and Washington. Steve’s interests include cooking, gardening, DIY projects, an occasional round of golf, and the Boston Red Sox.

Jeramie Terzulli is Olson Engineering’s Land Use Specialist and “Idea Man”. His background in building construction, land development, and commercial real estate brings a unique perspective to projects where delicate planning and public outreach is necessary to attain entitlements and help our clients meet financial goals. Jeramie was born and raised in Upstate New York, landing in North Idaho in the early 2000’s with a few stops along the way. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family, doing projects around the house, golfing, and snowboarding.

Brent Hassell was born and raised in Chico, California. He has lived in the Coeur d’Alene area with his family since 1996. He has been working in civil engineering and surveying for over 30 years in Idaho, Washington, California, and Colorado. He has taught courses in AutoCAD,  Civil3D, and assists junior staff regularly with technical and drafting questions. Brent has also worked for municipalities and contractors, and his broad experience helps him and the team understand where stakeholders are coming from. In his spare time, Brent enjoys riding his motorcycle and golfing.

Erik Illum was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He joined the United States Marines out of High School where he was a Combat Engineer. Erik worked at the Idaho National Laboratory characterizing radioactive waste for long-term storage at Carlsbad’s WIPP site. After this, Erik went to the University of Idaho to earn a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has been working with Olson Engineering since 2017. Erik enjoys the outdoors by hiking, backpacking, and being in the water.

Eric Adomah was born in Ghana. He earned his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at KNUST, Ghana. He then worked as a structural engineer for about 3 years designing steel trusses. Eric followed up with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Wyoming in 2018 where he was also a graduate research assistant in the field of Transportation Engineering. Eric has worked with Olson Engineering since 2020. He enjoys hiking, soccer, and many other activities when not working.

Greg Johnson was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering at Washington State University in 2023. During the summer of 2022 he was an intern for Olson Engineering and joined full time in 2023. Greg enjoys the outdoors, soccer, ultimate frisbee and golf.
